- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪I was not sure what was going on with me, but thinking it may be related to my reproduction, I made an appointment with her because she did both family and ob/gyn at the practice. I went in giving her all the symptoms I was experiencing and she said that she couldn't talk with me about ob symptoms in a family practice. Like, she wouldn't even listen to my list of symptoms, I didn't expect an exam that day or anything. As I explained she asked me if it was "psychosomatic" as in, all in my head. I was so embarrassed that I stopped seeking help for my symptoms for a few years. Later I went to another practice and it was found that I have endometriosis. I had a HUGE growth in one ovary and had to have the growth and the ovary removed. I was only 21 when this happened. All the symptoms I was explaining to her were classic endometriosis. She should have known to at least refer me to an ob instead of a psychologist. She was awful.December 04, 2016by Kelly Marie Hickman
